Damon had the idea of giving Miss Lippy a bath. It went surprising well considering cats usually don't like water let alone a bath. I think she was more in shock than anything. Damon came away with no scratches so we considered this mission a success.

New friends and happenings
We have been so lucky to have met two wonderful couples here in Grundy. Joey and Mollie are recently married and moved here from North Carolina. Joey and Damon hit it off right away since the two of them love Star Wars and Mollie and I have a lot in common also. We have also met Matt and Ashley who both go to law school. We have done a lot together lately, and it really makes our time here in Grundy a lot more entertaining. We do a lot of dinners and game night together including our recent Easter dinner that I posted about last time. Our last adventure was taking a trip to Abingdon to check out a new brewery and have dinner at the Martha Washington. Girls in one car, the boys in another - it was a great evening and a good way to celebrate being half done with finals. Good news is, if Damon gets his externship in MT, I will have Mollie and Ashley both here in Grundy to hang out with this summer. Matt and Joey will also be gone, so who knows what trouble us three girls can get into.

Spring Updates
I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since I've updated our blog. Unfortunately, there haven't been a lot exciting events for us to report. Let's see...March was consumed with me studying for my level 2 manual therapy exam as well as taking my second to last class before I can get my certification. Damon continues to study every day/night getting ready for his finals which are only two weeks away. We both can't believe that we've already been in VA for 2 years and next fall he'll be entering his third and final year of law school!!! April started off with a bang with the Duke Blue Devils winning the National NCAA Championship. Damon and I were just a "little" bit excited and nervous (for those of you that saw the championship game, you'd know why). We had 2 couples over for Easter lunch/dinner which consisted of a true southern meal. We made pulled pork, corn on the cob, baked beans, slaw, potato salad, deviled eggs, blackberry crisp and sweat tea. I felt the need to tease up my hair, put on my Sunday dress and relax in a white rocking chair on the front porch - all of which I did not do! :) Damon is in the process of trying to set up a 6 week summer externship in Missoula. I of course won't be able to come home because I'm not allowed that much time off of work, but I will keep busy here in VA working and doing some softball tournaments (not playing of course, just serving as their trainer). Actually, there my two girl friends that I've met will be staying here over the summer as well as their husband/boyfriend will be doing externships out of town as well. Who knows what 3 ladies can find to do to get into trouble here in Grundy!! No pictures this time - we need to do more outings so I can take pictures of more things than just Igor.
