A little catch up on what has been going on in our lives the past few months in VA.
Mollie and I ran our first 1/2 Marathon at the Outer Banks in November. We trained together for a few months before and had so much fun visiting on our long runs. I definitely couldn't have done the training without her. The race went great and we had such great scenery overlooking the ocean. Our goal was to finish in under 2 hours, and our official time was 1:55!! I hope we can do another race again in the future together.
Mollie and Joey got an X-box Kinect. Here we are busting a move at Matt's birthday party.
My 29th Birthday Party. Damon took me to see the play, "It's a Wonderful Life". I had never seen the movie, so it was a real treat. We loved the play and then did a little shopping. What I didn't know is that Damon was stalling so Mollie and Joey could get dinner ready at home. When we walked in, Igor came running out with the balloons tied to him. It was precious, and dinner was excellent - thanks Mossors.
Joey and Mollie got a new puppy, Scout. Mollie knew she was getting Scout, but she didn't know when. We were all in on the surprise which was really touch to keep a secret. This is Scout meeting Igor for the first time. They are a couple, and Scout wears the pants in the relationship, barking orders at Igor. :) She isn't so little anymore - here she was about 12 pounds and now she is 30!
Christmas in Nashville with Damon's sisters, Allie and Jenny. It was great to celebrate the holiday with family and to see Damon's nieces and nephew. Here we are wearing our hats from our crackers.
Joey's birthday dinner at our favorite restaurant, The Tavern. All six of us had the exact same dinner - Black and Blue Medallions - the best steaks any of us have ever eaten.
Matt's birthday dinner at the Hibachi Grill in Bluefiled, WV. What a fun night with sake "shots" and great company.
So my days in VA were coming to an end. This was at my going away party in Richlands. My co-worker Melissa and I became great friends and I am so thankful to have met her.
